No-Bake Cookies, My Moms Recipe
By CassyLu1981
My family has always made these no-bake cookies and they are my all time favorite. I just finished making a batch so thought I would share it with you.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Oleo (stick butter)
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Cocoa (more or less)
- 3 Cups Oatmeal
- 1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
HOW TO MAKE THE COOKIES
Combine the sugar, butter, milk and cocoa in a large pan on the stove. Melt together. Bring to a rolling boil and let boil for 2 minutes ONLY! (If more then 2 minutes cookies will harden before you get them out of the pan, if not quite 2 minutes then the cookies will not harden on the wax paper). Remove from heat after 2 minutes. Add the peanut butter and stir until mostly melted. Add oatmeal and stir until coated with chocolate. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. (fast enough that the cookies don't harden before you get them on the wax paper)

They are the best :) My girls are eating them for after school snacks right now LOL. Let me know if you make them and how you like them!
Mmmmm that looks great I'm going to have to give them a try! Voted up and useful! Hope you enjoy my hubs as well!
I hope you do get the chance to give them a try. Thanks for the votes and comment :)
The pictures make my mouth water! It seems like a simple recipe and one that children would love as an after school snack. I am a big fan of almond milk and will try this using this subsitution for cow's milk. Thanks for posting this good treat.
Definately let me know how those turn out :) Not sure if the milk will make a differance but hopefully it won't! Thanks for stopping by teaches12345!!!
These are yummy. A former co-worker used to make these and bring them in to share for treats. So good!
They are my favorite retired06! Thanks for the comment :)
